Well a large storm is coming as we may not have electricity so this post will count for 3 days!
At the time of filming, John Carpenter's Halloween was a no budget independent movie (and one of the highest grossing independent horror film of all time until Paranormal Activity 1), so a lot of the characters, costumes, houses,etc came from people around the town where the filming took place. One of the guys who wore the Michael Myers' mask was Jamie Lee Curtis' boyfriend(and he was hot, press pause when she takes off his place you'll see)
