The best camera is the one in your hand

I have been using a DSLR for almost 10 years until I got an iPhone 6. I did have an iPhone 4 but it wasn't good enough to overlook my DSLR. If I had known that the iPhone 6's camera would be this good, I probably wouldn't have upgraded my Canon Rebel XTi to a T5i a couple of years ago. I haven't used my camera in a year... What a waste of money..  However, I'll save that camera for print and HD videos. I don't do studio photography because I feel you can't quite see how the jewelry pieces really look with a human eye and not lights and effects. I don't edit the photographs much except for contrast and brightness.  I think for simple web view of natural light photographs, your iPhone is good enough.

I think of her has the darker Nirrimi.. Haunting photographs filled with fantasy, love and ethereal time and space... I suggest you go to Laura website and put on some music and get lost in her photography.

New Camera: Canon T5i

I recently got a Canon T5i DSLR camera and I am really happy with it. Before I had a Canon XTi and although it gave me 5 great years, I hated it ! It was always slow to focus, poor lightning, and I had to jump through hoops to take photos from simple zooming and dark settings (and don't get me started on the flash). I'm sure it was partially my fault (because *your camera doesn't matter, if you a great photographer doesn't matter if you use an iPhone* mantra). But I'm happy to be done with it. I like the new T5i because taking jewelry product photos are so easy now! I don't even need expensive lightning (wish I had known that before), now all I need is the sun and the sun is free. Here are some of the photos I took. I am using the kit lens, although I do have the 50mm f/1.8.On the XTi I never used the 50mm, I thought it was because something was wrong with the lens, but I see I just hated that damn camera... Anyways enjoy these photographs I took carelessly with the T5i and see how clear and lovely they are with hardly any effort! I also photographed all the new Art Deco Edwardian Vintage Rings with this camera!

By the way, I barely edited these photos or at all!

Stacey Mark

A photographer I have been following for years. I love the way she captures feminity with a sense of innocence ..purity but a hint of a darker edge. Her photos are mostly shot with a film camera which often gives of a dream like state. And best news of it all was the ability to tell her how much I admire her work through Instagram!
